Dr. Sat Kumar Tomer

Dr. Sat Kumar is currently the CEO/Co-founder of Satyukt Analytics Private Limited, a company providing high-resolution data for agriculture, water resources and crop insurance. His expertise includes the estimation of higher resolution information using the multi-satellite remote sensing. He did Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2012 and afterward, he was research associate in CESBIO, Toulouse, France during 2012-2015.
His team is developing innovative algorithms to estimate the agriculture variables (e.g. soil moisture, crop health, crop water usage, crop type, crop yield, etc.) using microwave remote sensing which can see through the clouds and provide the valuable data throughout the year. These variables are being used to assess the comprehensive historical risk to agriculture and estimate the status of agriculture in near real time.
Gyana Ranjan Das
Geon International, Singapore
Gyana is Business Head with Geon International Pte Ltd, currently based in Singapore. He handles a portfolio of agriculture commodities. Prior to this, he was Vice President with the Products team in Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in Singapore during 2010 – 13. He handled Food and Agriculture Business in Asia Pacific Region building business amongst corporate relationships across the agriculture supply chain. His main focus was on developing weather derivative and agriculture insurance products.
Previously he has worked with commodity major Olam looking after commodity businesses in Mozambique and Myanmar in separate stints. In India during the initial years of his career, he spent a few years with ICICI Bank in Agri Banking and with Rallis India Limited heading state sales office.
Gyana holds dual masters, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Master of Science in agriculture specializing in plant breeding and genetics. He graduated in agricultural sciences from Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology, India.
Prof. Manoj K Pandey

Prof Manoj K. Pandey holds a Master degree in Management from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) & is an Associate Member of Insurance Institute of India. He served in the Life Insurance industry for 20 years in different capacities & roles in India & Gulf Countries. He had been Resident Manager of LIC in Sultanate of Oman. His last assignment in the industry was that of Head - life & medical insurance of a leading local insurance company in Oman.
Prof. Pandey joined Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) as an Associate Professor in its Insurance program in December 2011. He is involved in teaching & research in the area of life insurance, insurance channel management & general marketing. He has also handled the administrative portfolio of being course coordinator for insurance course & head of admissions. Prof Pandey is in-charge of the branding & social media activity at BIMTECH.
Vivek Tiwari

Vivek Tiwari has an experience of nearly two decades in the microfinance and development sector on initiatives to boost financial inclusion, social entrepreneurship and impact investing. As Managing Director of Satya MicroCapital Limited, Vivek has taken the responsibility of spearheading the company’s strategic efforts and driving its expansion through its innovative approach which includes refined version of Joint liability model (Limited Liability Model), Cashless collection through Aadhaar Enable Payment System and E-KYC for authentic client data and appropriate credit appraisal practices.
Vivek holds a postgraduate diploma in Rural Development and Management from the Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology, Allahabad. While working in Development and Finance sector, he has an experience of lending more than 10,000 Crores in various Indian states and in turn made approx. 50,00,000 families part of financial inclusion program. In his journey of Microfinance Sector, he inspired more than 10,000 persons and led them to a better professional career by providing appropriate guidance and mentoring.
He actively participated in various national and international professional forums and has accredited exposure visits across the globe and to name few as ASA Bangladesh, BRAC Bangladesh, ASA Philippines and Boulder Microfinance program, Italy. He also attended financial inclusion conferences in China and Czech Republic. He participated as a key speaker at various Seminars and Conclaves organized by MFIN, SIDBI, UPMA and many more. The India International Friendship Society awarded him with “Bharat Jyoti Award” for playing a pivotal role in accelerating the JLG/WSHG movement.
Rupalee Ruchismita

Rupalee develops and spreads innovative insurance and resilience solutions for emerging markets. She collaboratively launched South Asia's first climate insurance and worked with the Indian Government's social health insurance reaching over 80 million households.
She has over twelve years of design and international policy experience, focused on health, livestock and catastrophe safety nets.
She is an invited member of the Munich Climate Insurance Initiative (at the UN University), holds board positions in start-ups and mutuals.
